Andy Deemer wasn’t always a magician. He used to be an award-winning product manager for Silicon Valley startups and behemoths, including Apple and Beats Music, CNET and GameSpot.com.
His casual magic hobby turned professional when he was hired by Macaulay Culkin, former child actor of Home Alone fame, to perform a series of CIA-themed tricks at the legendary comedy club Largo. In the audience were Weird Al, Seth Green, and Paris Jackson. The show was so successful, Andy unexpectedly started booking private shows.
He was hired to headline at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, and at New York’s longest off-Broadway magic show, Monday Night Magic. He was the toast of Santa Fe’s Currents New Media festival in 2021, and is a spotlight act at Missouri’s celebrated St Lou Fringe Fest. He’s currently one of three finalists for the world’s largest magician’s association, the IBM 2021 Close-Up Magician of the Year.
At this point, technology has been forced to take a backseat, because Andy’s magic is real.
